The fourth-seeded Barnesville girls' basketball team, advanced to the Section 8AA semifinals with an 80-62 victory over #5 seed East Grand Forks on Saturday night. With the win, the lady Trojans will have an opportunity to face top-seeded Perham on Wednesday at 6:00pm at Concordia College in Moorhead.
Abby John and Ava Follingstad scored 26 and 25 points, respectively, to lead the offensive effort by the Trojans. Sophie Frederick joined them in double digits with 11 points.
Allison Kovar led EGF with 16, while Kylie Madison added 14.
