Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa defeated Hancock 67-52 in the regular season finale for both teams on Friday night. BBE led 33-26 at the half. They were led by 17 points apiece from Hayden Sobiech and Luke Illies. The Jaguars shot 41% (26-61) from the field and won the rebounding battle, 37-30.
Hancock didn’t get to the free throw line all night long as BBE committed just 7 fouls in the game. The Owls had 18 assists on 21 made baskets. They were led by Brayden Kisgen (16 points, 5 assists), Preston Kisgen (15 points) and Hudson VerSteeg (14 points, 4 assists. Rylan Meierding led the Owls with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Hancock ends the regular season with a record of 11-15 and a Little Eight Conference mark of 8-8.
