Battle Lake played at New York Mills on Thursday and the Battlers shot the ball at a 46% clip, leading them to a commanding 80-46 victory over the Eagles.  Battle Lake forced 24 New York Mills turnovers, which led to 30 points for the Battlers.

"After Tuesday's big win against Hillcrest I was worried this would be a bit of a trap game, and it started out that way as we got ourselves down 7 early in the game and we weren't playing well,” commented Battle Lake Head Coach Brady Cameron.  “It took us about 8 minutes to find our rhythm on both ends but when we did we outscored them by 41 to finish the game.  2 of our seniors stepped up big tonight in the scoring column in Jack Mekalson who had 31 points and Mason Dalluge with 18 points and another senior, Aidan Buehler, had a great night doing the little things with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and played a great defensive game all night."

Dalluge added 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 8 deflections and 5 steals, to go along with a blocked shot.  Maddox Mekalson had 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.  Aidan Heggem finished with7 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals, and Aidan Buehler added 4 assists and 4 rebounds.

Leaders for New York Mills were Sam Kopveiler (22 points, 7 rebounds) and Teagan Lausten (14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists).  Jacob Thorsrud had a team high 11 rebounds.

Battle Lake (13-11, 8-8 LEC) has won five in a row and 9 of their last 10 games.  The Battlers play at Henning on Friday night.
