Hawley recorded a 79-57 Heart O’ Lakes Conference road victory in Breckenridge on Thursday night. “We were able to come out of the gate strong once again tonight,” commented Hawley Head Coach Nate Stoa. “Our defense was sharp throughout the first half and things really clicked on the offensive side with guys finding open cutters.”
Brevin Stoa led the Nuggets with 28 points. He was joined in double figures by Levi Lelm with 16, Mark Schauer with 11 and Noah Nelson with 10.
“We were down a starter due to illness tonight and Mark Schauer did a great job stepping up and making plays at both ends of the floor,” added Coach Stoa.
Aiden Sanchez and Jacob Kunkel led Breckenridge with 13 points apiece, while Cooper Roberts and Beau Beyer finished with 9 points each.
Hawley (11-11, 5-6 HOL) has a road game in Barnesville on Friday night.
Breckenridge will host East Grand Forks on Monday night.
