Henning Boys Complete Perfect Park Region Conference Season for 2nd Straight Year

The Henning boys’ basketball team wrapped up the Park Region Conference season with a perfect 14-0 record for a second straight year after beating Bertha-Hewitt 84-33 on Tuesday night.

“We did a nice job competing on the defensive end tonight and we had really nice balance again offensively,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades

 

The Hornets recorded 21 assists on 28 made baskets, led by 6 each from Teigan Bjerke and Logan Kostelecky, and 5 from Kale Misegades.  Henning also had 15 steals with Kostelecky, Ryan Despard and Noah Umland grabbing 3 apiece.

Scoring leaders were Misegades with 22, and four players, Bjerke, Umland, Kostelecky and Lane Dilly with 12 points each.  Dilly had a team high 8 rebounds.

Henning shot 57% (28-49) from the field and made 10-of-18 (55%) from beyond the arc.

Bertha-Hewitt struggled from the floor, making 30% (12-40) of their shots.  Kobe Hinzmann and Brady Rach had 9 points each to lead the Bears, and Trenton Becker had 8.

Henning (22-2, 14-0 PRC) has a game against Underwood at 1:00pm Saturday at Target Center.

Bertha-Hewitt (13-12, 6-8 PRC) will host Parkers Prairie in their regular season finale on Tuesday.
