Rocket Girls Overcome 14-0 Deficit to Post 75-58 Win Over Cowgirls

Breckenridge came out hot in their game with Underwood on Friday night as they opened up a 14-0 lead in the first few minutes of the game.  The Rockets gained their composure and rattled off 20 straight points to take a 20-14 lead on the way to a 42-27 halftime advantage and a 75-58 non-conference girls’ basketball victory.

 

“I was very happy with how we reacted to the adversity in the first few minutes,” said Head Coach Brian Hovland of the Rockets.

Liz Lukken (27 points, 4 rebounds), Kallyn Grove (20 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks) and Ezrah Baker (12 points, 11 rebounds) were all in double digits, with Baker registering a double-double.  Mily Albjerg added 8 points and 6 rebounds, while Trinity Baker came through with 5 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

No Breckenridge stats were reported.

Underwood (21-3, 16-2 LEC) will host Henning on Tuesday and finish the season in Twin Valley with a game against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal.

Breckenridge (12-11, 5-7 HOL) has a road game against NCE/U-H on Tuesday, a road game in Fergus Falls against Hillcrest on Thursday, and a home game with Crookston on Friday to end the regular season.
