The West Central Area Knights placed four players in double figures and had nine players score in a 73-65 win vs the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines on Tuesday night.  In double figures for the Knights were Camden Anderson with 19 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds; Bryce Kjesbo with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals; Ben Bye had 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists; and Mitch Dewey had 13 points and 3 steals. Also contributing was Owen Sanstead with 6 points and 2 rebounds; Sam Hanson had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals; Marshall Dewey added 2 points and Cash Nelson 2 points.

The Knights led 41-27 at the half and built the lead up to 55-34 before a flurry of 3's by the Wolverines in the final minutes.  The Wolverines hit 14 three-pointers in the game.  Knights Coach Kraig Hunter said, "It was good for us to play in a game like that where they made a comeback and we had to play with poise to seal the game. They made three of them from deep with the shot clock expiring but we can't control that, we can only control how we respond to that. We did a good job finishing the game. Credit to Wadena as they have four really good perimeter players."

Hunter concluded, "A lot of guys contributed again. Nas Dotts hit a big shot when we needed a basket. Owen Sanstead had his best game of the year and gave us good minutes and like usual, Sam Hanson made several hustle plays on both ends of the floor."

Scoring for Wadena was Kobe Snyder with 20 points and six 3-pointers; Peyton Church had 17 points and four 3-pointers; Teshe Loer had 13 points and two threes; Lyrak Haug and Desmond Hammond each hit a three-pointer and had 5 points each; Nathan Peterson scored 4 points and Josh Brown 1 point.

The Knights improved to 18-3 and will get back into conference action on Friday night at home vs Minnewaska. The Wolverines are now 14-7 and will play Menahga and Pelican Rapids on Thursday and Friday.
