Henning fell behind 32-26 at the half in Parkers Prairie on Tuesday night, however. The Hornets dominated the Panthers in the second half, recording a 76-49 victory.  Henning made 47% (31-65) of their field goal attempts and hit 39% (9-23) from 3-point land.  Kale Misegades had a hue game with 36 points on 15-of-27 shooting, 8 rebounds and 2 steals.  Teigan Bjerke added 24 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

“We didn’t come ready to play and found ourselves trailing at the half,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Give Parkers Prairie credit as they shot the ball very well in the first half, including a 3/4 court bucket before the halftime horn. On the flip side, we did a lot of standing around on both ends and didn’t find any rhythm.  In the second half we hit a couple quick 3’s to tie the game. And then we settled in from there, out-scoring the Panthers 50-17 in the second half.”

Lane Dilly had a team high 14 rebounds, with 6 of them coming on the offensive end.  He also led the team with 8 assists.

“Congratulations goes out to Parkers Prairie senior Dylan Debilzen on scoring his 1,000th point tonight,” added Coach Misegades. “Dylan is a great player and leader for his team and school.”

Parkers shot 36% (18-49) on the night.  Debilzen scored 12 points and was joined in double figures by Cohen Nosak with 16.  Dominic Reiman finished with 9 points for the Panthers.

Parkers Prairie (8-12, 5-8 LEC) hosts Rothsay on Friday night.

Henning (20-2, 12-0 PRC) heads to Verndale on Thursday night.
