The Parkers Prairie girls’ basketball team hosted Ashby in a Little Eight Conference contest on Monday. The Panthers took an early lead and carried that lead wire-go-wire for a 33-15 halftime advantage and eventually, a 57-34 win over the Arrows. Evy Grinager and Hope Koep led the Panthers, each with 11 points.
“Got the job done tonight and earned a win in front of our home crowd,” commented Parkers Prairie Head Coach Hunter Haggenmiller. “We were able to take the lead early and get everyone involved tonight. Quick turnaround for our girls’ as we make the trip to Rothsay Tuesday for the second game in as many days.”
Brookelinn Finkelson led Ashby with 12 points.
Ashby has a road game against Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday night.
