Three Otters Swimmers Earn All-Conference Honorable Mention at CLC Meet
Sartell-St. Stephen won the Boys Central Lakes Conference team championship on Saturday in Brainerd, scoring 509 points. The host Warriors were second with 459 and Sauk Rapids-Rice finished third with 297. St. Cloud Apollo (251), Alexandria (237), Tech-Cathedral-Rocori-Becker (215), Fergus Falls (184) and Willmar (173) rounded out the team scores.
“This meet is always very competitive,” acknowledged Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen. “Lots of deep teams with great swimmers. We didn't have a lot of PR swims today but we were not expecting that. Most of our guys held their times close to their season bests so we are feeling good about ourselves going into taper and the section meet two weeks from today.
Congratulations to our All Conference Honorable Mention swimmers, Jaden Kwapinski, 5th in 200 IM and 6th in 100 Free, Matthew Tuel 5th in 200 Free, and Reece Hansen 5th in 100 Back. Also congratulations to our team on being voted the conference sportsmanship winners this season. It is a nice recognition of the outstanding character our guys have.”
