Henning continued their excellent shooting as they hit 54% (34-62) of their field goal attempts and 47% (11-23) of their 3’s on Thursday in a 90-28 win over New York Mills. “After a bit of a sluggish start offensively, we got rolling midway through the first half and opened up a nice margin going into the break,” reported Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “Our scoring balance was nice to see again tonight.”

Kale Misegades led five Hornets in double digits with 22, while adding 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 6 assists.  Logan Kostelecky added 16, Teigan Bjerke had 14, Lane Dilly finished with 13, and Noah Umland ended up with a dozen.  Dilly snagged 10 rebounds to complete his double-double.  He also had 5 steals and 4 assists.  Kostelecky had 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.

Teagen Lausten led New York Mills with 11 points.  Mills shot just 28% (12-42) on the night and hit only 1-of-18 3’s.

“We still have two conference games remaining, but tonight we clinched our second straight Park Region Conference championship and our fifth PRC title in the last seven years,” noted Coach Misegades. “Winning the conference is always one of our goals and tonight we made it happen.”

Henning (19-2, 12-0 PRC) has a road game at Parkers Prairie on Tuesday and then goes to Verndale Thursday, February 15.
