Battle Lake got off to a quick start in Ashby on Thursday night as they took a 33-18 halftime lead on the way to a 62-34 Little Eight Conference Girls Basketball victory over the Arrows.  “We played a solid second half,” said Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.  “I thought we had a real solid defensive game tonight, and once we got our scoring going, we were able to get some separation on the scoreboard.”

Kenady Cameron led all scorers with 24 points.  Sophie Akerman added 15 points, and Madi Cameron had a solid rebounding game and scored 9 points.

Brooklyn Finkelson and Chloe Finkelson led the Arrows with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Battle Lake snapped a 7 game losing skid with the win.  They will play at Sebeka on Monday and travel to Graceville to face CGB on Tuesday, before returning home for a game with Hillcrest next Thursday.

Ashby has road games at Parkers Prairie Monday and at Brandon-Evansville Tuesday.
