The Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team defeated Rothsay, 82-75 on Tuesday night in a Little Eight Conference matchup in Evansville. “Both teams shot the ball well and it ended up being a higher scoring game than I’d like to see,” said B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We had multiple players step up and make big shots at crucial times.”
Micah Fuller led the Chargers with 28 points. He was joined in double figures by Carter White with 14, Riley Perleberg with 11 and Dustin Gillespie with 10.
“Having 8 different players score tonight was needed and I’m happy for our guys to get this conference win,” added Hintermeister. “With only 7 regular season games left we need to continue to hone in on the finer details that win playoff games. We are looking forward to a couple days of practice before our next game.”
Brandon-Evansville (11-8, 8-4 LEC) travels to Underwood for a Little Eight Conference game on Friday night.
Rothsay (3-14) travels to Ortonville for a non-conference game on Thursday and will host Hancock in a Little Eight contest on Friday.
