Fronning Wins 2nd MNGWL State Title
Three Fergus Falls freshmen wrestlers participated in the 7th-9th grade state tournament this past Saturday in Champlin Park. Caleb Fronning became the first MNGWL State Champion in program history last season, winning the title at 132 pounds. This season, Caleb became the first two-time MNGWL State Champion in school history, claiming the 145 pound title.
Trygve Ringdahl (189) and Nolan Field (285) did not place in the event. “Qualifying for the state tournament puts Nolan and Trygve in the top 16 out of 268 participating schools,” commented Coach John Mueller. “That is a tremendous accomplishment.”
