The Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team recorded a 77-37 Heart O’ Lakes Conference victory over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Tuesday night. The Vikings raced out to a 45-23 halftime lead on their home court and never looked back. Charlie Larson had a team high 16 points, Timmy Guler added 15 and Miguel Torres had 15.
“Really good effort from our guys tonight,” said Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud. “We had a good start to the game to build a lead midway throughout the first half and were able to maintain that lead into halftime. We stay focused at the start of the second half to push the lead out further and overall just played well on both ends of the court.”
Brody Friend and Quincy Cox led DGF with just 6 points each.
Pelican Rapids (14-2, 6-2 HOL) will host Breckenridge on Friday and will play Sauk Centre at Alexandria at noon on Saturday.
DGF (10-7, 6-2 HOL) has a road game to Kindred, ND on Friday night.
