It came down to the wire at the Kennedy Pool on Tuesday night and the Otters were able to earn a 93-92 win over Tech/Cathedral/Rocori/Becker in a Central Lakes Conference boys’ swimming and diving dual meet.
“Tough meet tonight,” reported Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen. “It came down to the last relay again for us to win by 1 point. We needed at least 2nd and 3rd to win and that is what we got! Lucas Tuel anchored our 2nd 400 free relay and just out-touched the TCRB swimmer, getting us the 2 points we needed. The other hero of the night was Adrian Blondeau. Without his win in the 50 free by .01 seconds we would not have won the meet. Matthew Tuel also had a much needed win in the 500 free.”
Micah Davis of Tech/Cathedral/Rocori/Becker took down three pool records during the meet. He established new marks in the 100 butterfly, the 200 freestyle and the 50 freestyle, while just missing a new pool record in the 100 freestyle.
The Otters will hold their Senior Night when they host Sauk Rapids on Thursday.
