Hornets Win Sixth Straight Game, Bears Miller Reaches 1000 Career Points

Kale Misegades hit 4 of his 5 3-point field goal attempts and made 60% (9-15) of his total field goal tries, scoring 24 points to lead the Henning Hornets to a lopsided 74-38 win over Bertha-Hewitt on Thursday night.  He also had 4 rebounds, 4 assists and a pair of steals.  Teigan Bjerke added 15 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. 

 

Overall, Henning shot 47% (30-63) from the field, making 41% (10-24) of their 3-point attempts.  Noah Umland and Lane Dilly were also in double digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively.  Dilly had a team high 12 rebounds, 8 of them coming on the offensive boards.  He also had 6 assists.  Logan Kostelecky contributed 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

“We did a nice job coming ready to play and taking control immediately,” stated Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We set the tone defensively and jumped out 27-1 to start the game.  Congrats to Bertha-Hewitt senior Preston Miller on reaching the 1,000 point milestone tonight.” 

Miller had 19 points to lead the Bears and Brady Rach added 11.  The Bears only hit 27% (12-44) of their shots from the floor.

Henning (13-2 overall, 7-0 PRC) will play at Browerville on Monday and at Pillager next Thursday.
