Arrows Knock Down 47% of 3-Point Shots in 70-53 Win over LPGE

The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball team defeated the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder 70-53.  Ashby held a 32-25 lead at halftime.  Ashby connected on 26 of 60 (43%) field goal attempts.  Included in the totals were 47% shooting from behind the three-point line.

 

Arrows freshman guard Traeton Nelson led all scorers with 24 points.  Junior point guard Easton Nelson was next with 16 points along with dishing out 6 assists.  Kellen Dahlen finished with 13 points and grabbed ten rebounds for a double-double. Jake Norby and Richie Johnson rounded out the Arrows scoring with 9 and 8 points, respectively.  Fred Schlotfeld chased down two rebounds and provided many needed plays at the defensive end.

Landon Middendorf was the leading scorer for the Thunder with 20 points.

"Whenever we had a player enter the game from the bench, he made an immediate positive play," stated Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.  "The boys played excellent team defense on LPGE post player David Liebsch holding him to 11 points for the game."

Ashby improves their overall season record to 5-6.  They host the Battle Lake Battlers Thursday.
