The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball team was defeated by the Bertha-Hewitt Bears 63-58 in a game played in the Bertha Gym.  The Bears held a 31-29 lead at the halftime break.  "Varsity, JV, and individual player growth will be one of the Arrows takeaways from this experience tonight," said Ashby Head Coach John Holsten.

Bertha-Hewitt had the two leading point scorers of the contest.  Brady Rach connected on five three-pointers during a 29 total point effort.  Preston Miller also broke the twenty-point standard netting 21.

Easton Nelson led a trio of double figure scorers for the Arrows with 19 points.  Jake Norby added 14 and Traeton Nelson contributed 10.  Richie Johnson, Kellen Dahlen, and Fred Schlotfeld scored 6, 5, and 4, respectively.  A telling statistic of the game was that Ashby made just one of five free throw attempts in the second half while the Bears were successful on seven of their twelve tries from the stripe.
