Otters Give Cardinals a Fight in CLC Swimming and Diving Dual
Fergus Falls hosted Alexandria in a Central Lakes Conference dual meet on Thursday at the Kennedy Secondary School pool and the Cardinals came out on top, 95-85.
“It was great to get back into competition mode today,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Randy Hansen. “So far this season we have had about 2 weeks between each of our meets. That makes for lots of practice time. This was the closest meet we have had with Alex in many years. Our 200 Medley and 200 Free relays swam their best time of the year. A number of our guys swam different events tonight. Matthew Tuel in the 50 and 100 free. Jaden Kwapinski in the 100 Breast, Ethan Strande in the 500, Reece Hansen in the 100 Fly. I think many of them surprised themselves in how well they did.”
Next meet, West Fargo Border Battle on Saturday.
