Freshman Caleb Fronning of the Fergus Falls wrestling team is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week. Wresting at the Benson Braves Classic, Fronning won the 145 pound weight class with three consecutive match wins, improving his season record to 15-6. Fronning earned 25 team points for the Otters.
He opened the tournament with a 3-2 decision over Zachary Richards of Alexandria in the quarterfinals. His semifinal round victory came by a 16-5 major decision over Damian Alatriste of Tracy-Milroy-Balaton-Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
In the championship match at 145, Fronning pinned Dylan Hoffarth of Albany at 1:23 of their match.
