The Underwood boys’ basketball team traveled to Rothsay for a Little Eight Conference matchup on Tuesday night and the Rockets returned home with a 66-50 win over the Tigers. Underwood led 31-27 at the half. Drew Evavold led the way with 22 points. Hudson Risbrudt and Evan Lundgren were also in double digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Owen Harig chipped in with 8 points.
“We played a more complete game defensively, which was great to see,” said Head Coach Kellen Shebeck. “Each game the guys continue to improve.”
The Rockets (2-2) are at the Lakeview Holiday Tournament December 29 and 30. They play Ortonville on Friday and Lakeview on Saturday.
Rothsay (2-4) is off until January 4 when they will host LEC opponent, Brandon-Evansville.
