The Henning boys’ basketball team built a 32-21 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Sebeka Trojans by the score of 60-44 on Thursday night in Sebeka. Kale Misegades led three players in double figures, scoring 16 points. He completed his double-double by securing 10 rebounds and also had a team high 6 assists. Henning dominated the boards, 37-6, grabbing 14 offensive rebounds. The Hornets also shot 41% (25-60) from the field.
“Tough conference win on the road tonight,” said Head Coach Randy Misegades of Henning. “We got off to a slow start, shot the ball poorly, and battled foul trouble again. We just never found any sort of rhythm or flow. We are proud of our guys for finding a way to get the win when we didn’t have our best night.”
Sebeka was led by Jasper Hosey with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists. Christian Berg and Max Lake each had 9 points for the Trojans, who shot 38% (18/47) in the game.
Henning (4-0) will play Lake Park-Audubon at 3:00pm Saturday at Concordia College in Moorhead.
Sebeka (3-2) hosts New York Mills on Tuesday night.
