Henning held a 39-32 halftime lead over Pillager on Tuesday night and went on to defeat the Huskies by the final score of 67-59.  The Hornets shot 47% (25-53) on their home floor.  They were led by 31 points from Kale MisegadesTeigan Bjerke and Logan Kostelecky added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Lane Dilly grabbed a team leading 13 rebounds, while Misegades led the team with 5 assists, 3 blocked shots and 4 steals.

Pillager had 3 players in double figures, led by Gabriel Parrish with 16.  Christian Hooge added 15 and Parker Schaefer had 13.  Hooge grabbed 9 rebounds and Miller dished out 3 assists to lead the Huskies.  Pillager shot 50% (24-48) from the field and buried 41% (5-12) of their 3’s.

“Pillager is really good and presents some problems on both ends of the floor,” reported Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “They brought everyone back from last year’s team and they are bigger and stronger than last season. We’re fortunate and excited to come away with our second conference win. Lane Dilly battled all night on the defensive end and on the glass. He was giving up 7-8 inches on the man he was guarding and showed a ton of determination.”

Henning (3-0) will travel to Sebeka for their next game on Thursday and will face Lake Park-Audubon at 3:00pm Saturday at Concordia College in Moorhead.

Pillager (1-2) will host Verndale on Friday night.
