Ana Jyrkas stopped all 13 shots she faced, recording a shutout on her birthday as the Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team defeated Sartell-Sauk Rapids, 4-0, in a Central Lakes Conference road contest.  “We did enough to win tonight, which isn’t easy in the CLC,” stated Head Coach Tim Lill of the Otters.

Maddie Brimhall got the Otters on the board at 8:06 of the first period with assists from Hannah Bye and Aubree Nelson.

A pair of second period goals gave the Otters a 3-0 lead after two periods.  Rachel Debrito scored from Ella Starzl at 8:25 and Lydia Johnson found the back of the net at 10:27 with Maggie Greenagel and Hannah Johnson earning assists.

Debrito notched her second goal of the night, shorthanded at 1:24 of the third period.  Brimhall assisted on the goal.

Fergus Falls had 29 shots on goal.

The Otters (5-3-1) are riding a 3 game winning streak as they head to Brainerd on Thursday night for another Central Lakes Conference matchup.
