Abby John poured in 21 points on Tuesday night as the Barnesville girls' basketball team protected their home court with a solid 64-44 victory over the East Grand Forks Green Wave. The Trojans held a 37-26 lead at the half and outscored EGF 27-18 over the final 18 minutes of the game.
Ava Follingstad and Sophie Frederick added 9 points each for the home team, while Kenadee Gray and Aubryn Hinsz contributed 8 and 7 points, respectively.
Barnesville (2-0) will host the Breckenridge Cowgirls on Thursday and will travel to Kindred, North Dakota for a game on Friday night.
