Charlie Larson and Timmy Guler each scored 18 points to lead the Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team to a 79-37 trouncing of the Crookston Pirates on Monday night. Luke Sjolie was also in double figures with 12 points. “We came out with good energy on the defensive end again tonight, which got us going in transition to create an early lead,” reported Pelican Rapids Head Coach John Gullingsrud.
Caden Boike led the Pirates with 9 points.
“We shot the ball better and had contributions from many players as eleven guys got in the scorebook,” concluded Coach Gullingsrud.
Pelican Rapids (2-0) will host Park Rapids Area on Tuesday night.
