Spartans Distribute 28 Assists in 95-76 Win Over Minnesota North-Hibbing

The M State Men’s Basketball team shot 54.4% (37-68) from the field and made 11-of-24 3-point shots (45.8%) in their 95-76 win over Minnesota North-Hibbing on Friday night in Fergus Falls.  Mason Muir registered a double-double (17 points, 13 rebounds) and added 5 assists.  Mikele Kambalo finished with a team high 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, and Khamani Steckler scored 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

 

Two other players were in double digits as Belind Alemadi scored 11 points and Eric Gore had 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting.  M State had 28 assists on the night with Javin Tindal distributing a game high 7.  They also won the rebounding battle, 49-25.

Minnesota North-Hibbing was led by 34 points from Nick Buchanan and 20 from Phillip SheetzSam Serna led the team with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.  As a team they shot 35.8% (24-67).

Minnesota North-Rainy River will pay a visit to M State on Saturday for a 3:00pm contest.
