Owls Fall to MACCRAY in Opener at Wabasso Tournament

Hancock matched up with MACCRAY at the Wabasso Tournament on Thursday and the Owls fell behind 38-17 at halftime on the way to an 80-43 loss.  MACCRAY shot 52% (22/42) from the field and made 50% (9/18) from beyond the arc.  They also converted 9-of-11 free throw opportunities.  Hancock made only 3-of-17 3’s and shot just 37.5% (12/32) from the floor.

 

Isaac Post led MACCRAY with 21 points.  He was joined in double digits by Matthew Wadsworth (17), Sawyer Janssen (13) and Jordan Warne (13).  Wadsworth, Janssen and Post all hit 3 3-pointers in the game.

Hancock was led by Chase Evink with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.  Hudson VerSteeg contributed 7 points and 7 rebounds, while Brayden Kisgen dished out a team high 4 assists.  Kisgen and Jordan Chunn each had 3 steals.

The Owls will play in the third place game at the Wabasso Tournament on Friday.
