The Bertha-Hewitt boys’ basketball team finished last season with an overall record of 10-17 and went 6-8 in the Park Region Conference. Coach Austin Selvey has a solid nucleus of returning letter winners to lead the Bears in the 2023-2024 season. “Our senior leadership, guard play and experience are all assets to this squad,” said Selvey. He will be assisted by Brian Hinzmann and Zach Grewe.
Seniors Preston Miller (Guard), Kobe Hinzmann (Guard), Zane Guderjahn (Guard), Aidan Bauch (Forward) and Zachary Baumgartner (Forward), junior Carter Wilhelmi (Guard) and sophomore Brady Rach (Guard) all return from last season.
Coach Selvey says that Nevis his the team to beat in Section 5A, while Henning and Wadena-Deer Creek are his top picks in the Park Region Conference.
