The Hancock Owls lost Jackson Koehl and Jared Koehl to graduation, but do return a number of players with extensive varsity experience from their 13-14 team of a year ago.  “We graduated a couple of very athletic players that could get to the rim at any time and get a shot off,” acknowledged head coach Cory Bedel, entering his 14th season on the bench.  “We should have some depth on the bench and I think our height and rebounding ability will be big strengths for us.”  Bedel will be assisted by Koleman Lind, Corey Ascheman and Ryan Sproul.

The Owls return starters Hudson Ver Steeg (SR, Forward), Brayden Kisgen (SR, Guard) and Chase Evink (JR, Forward) from the 2022-2023 squad.  Other returners include Rylan Meierding (SR, Guard) and Jordan Chunn (JR, Guard).

Bedel will be looking to Preston Kisgen (SO, Forward), Ayden Chunn (SR, Guard) and Riley Miller (JR, Guard) to also make a varsity impact.

Coach Bedel sees Battle Lake and Hillcrest as the favorites in the Little Eight Conference with those two teams being joined by Henning, BBE and West Central Area as the top teams in Section 6A.
