Five seniors and three juniors form the nucleus for the Brandon-Evansville boys’ basketball team this season as all are returning letter winners with extensive varsity experience.  The Chargers did lose 1000 point scorer Dezmond White, who is now playing basketball at Gustavus-Adolphus, Brady Perleberg, now playing baseball at Ridgewater CC in Willmar, Aaron Gillespie, Kian Gackle and Nathan Anderson to graduation.

The returning letter winners are seniors Carter White, Cohen Rieland, Gracin Klimek, Lucas Fuller and Riley Perleberg, and juniors Micah Fuller, Tanner Reidel and Dustin Gillespie.

Head Coach Trent Hintermeister, now in his seventh season, will also be looking for juniors August Bredberg, Ben Dusing, Jaxon Gackle and Logan Haseman, along with sophomores Bryce Froemming, Colton Breitkreutz and Kaleb Fuglseth to battle for varsity playing time.

“Our goal is to be better and be the hardest working team every time we step on the floor,” said Coach Hintermeister.  “We are small from a height standpoint, but will try to make up for that by communicating with one another, being disciplined in our actions, and trusting each other.”

Hintermeister will be assisted by Adam Wagner and Kellen Traphagen, with Casey Lipp and Jeff Martinson coaching at the junior high level.

“Section 6A is loaded with talented players and coaches,” noted Hintermeister.  “Whoever comes out of our section will be battle tested.”
