The Frazee boys’ basketball team improved their win total from 3 in 2021-2022 to 7 in the 2022-2023 season, and the Hornets return four starters from that club, which provides for optimism for the 2023-2024 season. Head Coach Ryan Vigen says, “We should be pretty athletic. We had a good summer, but we are still learning how to win.” Vigen will be assisted by Jason Reierson.
Returning starters are Alex Helmers (SR, Guard), Carter Sonnenberg (JR, Forward), Asher Blaine (JR, Forward) and Adam Vigen (SO, Guard).
“The Heart O’ Lakes Conference is so tough year in and year out,” noted Coach Vigen. “Barnesville made a good run at the end of last year and should be pretty good again this year. We are dropping to Section 6A this year, which is loaded with good teams. It should be an exciting season.”
