The Rothsay girls’ basketball team placed four players in double figures as they posted a 70-45 road win over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Tuesday night in Twin Valley. Rothsay led 32-22 at the half and outscored the Titans 38-23 over the final 18 minutes of the game.
“We had several kids contribute tonight, both offensively and defensively,” stated Rothsay Head Coach Anita Heier. “Our seniors, Elli Meyer and Kinsey Heier, showed great leadership getting their teammates involved and ready to play. It was a great team win for us to start the season.”
The Tigers were led by Savannah Sullivan (24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists), McKenzie Tillman (15 points, 3 rebounds), Mia Rivers (12 points, 6 rebounds) and Bethany Danielson (10 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists).
Rothsay will open their home season on Friday night when they host Tri-State from North Dakota.
