Izzy Steer broke the Hawley girls’ basketball record for most points scored in a game when she poured in 40 points in the Nuggets 72-61 win over Ada-Borup West on Tuesday in their season opener.  The previous mark was 38 points, held by Angie Jetvig.  Addison Sanvik joined Steer in double digits with 10 points, while Emma Brookshire added 8 points.  Hawley will open Heart O’ Lakes Conference play Friday night in Pelican Rapids.
