John Lillquist is in his 27th year leading the Sebeka Trojans boys’ basketball team and despite a 5-21 record a year ago, Coach Lillquist remains optimistic for the season at hand.  “We return a lot of experience from last season,” reported Lillquist.  “We had a lot of injuries last year and only had our full lineup for a handful of games.  Hopefully we can stay healthy and we’ll have a good chance to have a nice season.”

The Trojans went 4-5 down the stretch last season when they had all of their players back from injuries.  Returning letter winners include seniors Jasper Hosey (Forward), Christian Berg (Guard), Teagen Lee (Forward), Zack Thornton (Guard), Casey Blixt (Guard) and Brayden Brinkman (Guard), sophomore Parker Kiser (Forward) and freshman Max Lake (Guard).  Lee, Hosey and Berg will serve as captains.

Lillquist, who will be assisted by Jeff Lake, sees Nevis and Browerville-Eagle Valley as the top teams in Section 5A.
