The Parkers Prairie girls’ basketball team will be young and inexperienced on the varsity level, but Coaches Hunter Hagenmiller and Blake Saathoff are looking for consistent progress throughout a tough regular season schedule with their sights set on playing their best basketball at playoff time.

“We will be replacing four starters who graduated last season, meaning we will have a lot of new pieces in place,” acknowledged Coach Haggenmiller.  “We have a tough stretch to start the season with 11 of our first 13 games on the road, however, with plenty of home matchups in the latter half of the season, we look to be playing our best basketball come late February.”

Johahna McKeown (SR, Guard), Ellie Koep (JR, Forward), Evy Grinager (SO, Forward) and Alyssa Revering (SO, Guard) are returning letter winners for the Panthers.

Key newcomers to the varsity are Hope Koep (SR, Guard), Hayley Johnson (JR, Guard) and Anna Helling (SO, Forward).

Haggenmiller says Underwood and Hancock are the teams to beat in the Little Eight Conference and in Section 6A.
