David Marso starts his sixteenth year as Head Girls Basketball Coach at Battle Lake High School. Marso is assisted by Nick Laven and Tessa Grewe. The Battlers will be looking to improve on their 5-22 record of a year ago. Maddi Cameron, Molly Durbin, Laney Frost and Kaylee Trosdahl will serve as team captains.
Sophomores Kenady Cameron and Sophie Akerman are returning starters for the Battlers, while freshmen Kinley Bormann and Skyler Jacobson are expect to make a varsity impact this season.
“We hope to use our experienced players to help bring along some good young players,” stated Coach Marso.
Underwood, Hancock and Hillcrest are Marso’s picks as the top teams in the Little Eight Conference and Section 6A.
