The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton girls’ basketball team had a great run to end their season last year with 10 of their last 11 games going in the win column as they reached the Section 8AA semifinals. The Rebels finished with a 16-12 overall record. “We will be very inexperienced with only two players returning with significant playing time,” stated DGF Head Coach Jason Sunde.
HOL All-Conference player Aria Garrett (SO) is the only returning starter. Seniors Lola Garrett, Emersyn Bauck and Ella Olson, and sophomore Alyvia Couchman are all expected to contribute extensive varsity minutes.
Sunde will be assisted by Tony Reno, Joe Wasfaret and Josie Beachy.
Perham, Hawley, Barnesville, Breckenridge and Pelican Rapids are Sunde’s picks as the top teams in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference, with Wadena-Deer Creek joining them as favorites in Section 8AA.
