The Brandon-Evansville girls’ basketball team returns 9 letter winners with extensive varsity experience from their 9-18 team of a year ago.  “The girls worked hard this off season, knowing that we need to become a better shooting team,” reported Head Coach Steve Schreiber.  “The energy and excitement has grown to a place that this group will go out and compete.”

Seniors Kylee Dingwall (G), Skylar Bitzan (G), and Madison Anderson (G) are back, along with juniors Haddy Baune (G/F), Taylor Dingwall (G/F) and Ava Santjer (F), sophomores Mia Elmer (F) and Madeline Stich (F), and eighth-grader Drea Fernholz (G).

“Our strength will be our effort and our speed, while our weaknesses will be in some of our shooting and our size,” added Schreiber.

Kami Dingwall and Megan Lauthen will serve as assistants to Coach Schreiber.

Schreiber says Hancock, Underwood and Hillcrest are the top teams in the Little 8 Conference.  Those teams are joined by Ada Borup-West, West Central Area and Breckenridge as the favorites in Section 6A.
