Alexandria controlled the action throughout their home opener on Saturday, November 11 at the Runestone Arena, putting 45 shots on the Buffalo net, while the visiting Bison had only 11 shots on the Alexandria goal. The result was a second straight shutout to start the season for the lady Cards as they registered a 2-0 victory. Hunter Sellnow was in net for the home team.
Sophia Korynta gave the lady Cards a 1-0 lead with assists from Maya Wagner and Lillian Dutton at 11:33 of the first period.
Kennedy Ellingson added an unassisted tally at 9:39 of the third period to conclude the scoring.
