Senior defensive end Peyton Amundson of the Barnesville football team is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week. Amundson forced two fumbles and recovered one of them in the third quarter of the Trojans 38-23 victory over Jackson County Central in the Class AA Semifinals at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
Amundson also had 4 solo tackles and 7 assisted tackles in the game, scored a two-point conversion and caught two passes for a total of 16 yards. He also averaged 36.3 yards per punt on 3 punts and 39.5 yards per kick on 6 kick-offs.
The Trojans will try to defend their AA title when they play Eden Valley-Watkins for the AA State Championship at 1:00pm Friday at US Bank Stadium.
