Squirt B's Split Games on Opening Weekend

The Minnesota Motors Fergus Falls Squirt B’s split its opening weekend games. In its season opener on Saturday, November 11th, the B’s hosted Alexandria Black at the Fergus Falls Community Arena. Goaltender Jack Duffy made 43 saves as the Alexandria squad proceeded to a 13-2 victory. Otter goal scorers were Tate Hoff, assisted by Gabe West, and Dawson Noon, unassisted. Sunday, November 12th was another story, as the B’s traveled to Wadena and captured a 9-7 victory.

 

In the Sunday contest, Goalie Harrison Srnsky made 25 saves in the victory as the Otters put up 40 of their own shots on goal with six different goal scorers. Harry Grefsrud opened the scoring early in the first and added a second goal later in the period. Jack Duffy added two first period goals and Gabe West tallied a goal in each of the first and third periods. Lincoln Srnsky netted the only Otter goal in the second period. Evan Griffie put home the eventual game winner late in the third period, while Tate Hoff sealed the victory with an empty netter. The Minnesota Motor Squirt B’s are coached by Jake Gustafson, Dan Tonneson, Andrew Renner, and Jax Katzenmeyer. They will be heading to Duluth, MN this coming weekend for the Thanksgiving Classic held at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center.
