Otter Boys Among 227 Teams Competing at Nike Cross Regional CC Meet
The Fergus Falls Boys Cross Country team continued the success of their season, running in the Nike Cross Regional (NXR) cross country meet held in Sioux Falls, SD on November 12. The NXR is a regional race with some of the top runners and teams from the 7 state region including South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Kansas.
The race consists of 5 open heat races with over 200 teams and 2000 runners competing. Once all 5 heats are completed, the results are combined to determine overall placing and finishing. The Otter boys finished their heat in 5th place and when all the heats were combined, they ended up in 36th place out of the 227 teams competing.
Jaden Miller led the Otters with a 16:30.8. Henry Greenagel followed with a 16:59.8. Michael Schmidt finished strong, coming in at 17:00.7. Logan Bredenberg ran a 17:10.0 and Matthew Tuel rounded out scoring with a 17:28.6. This race concluded the season for the Otters.
