Parkers Prairie won the Section 6A football championship on Friday at the Fargodome with a 26-6 victory over New York Mills.  The Panthers will now face Mahnomen-Waubun in the Class A quarterfinals on Friday at 7:00pm in Brainerd.

New York Mills ends their season with a record of 4-7.

Parkers Prairie scored on their first possession of the game when Cohen Noska crossed the goal line on a one yard run just 1:40 into the contest.  The Eagles tied the game on a 4 yard run from Finn Roder with 3:02 left in the opening quarter and that 6-6 score held up until halftime.

The Eagles received the kickoff to start the second half, but fumbled the football.  The Panthers capitalized on what would be the only turnover of the day, scoring on a 3 yard run by Mason Boesl to take a 12-6 lead with 10:21 left in the third quarter.  Less than two minutes later, following a blocked punt, Noska connected with Dylan Debilzen on a 38 yard TD pas and Boesl scored the two-point conversion as the Panthers increased their lead to 20-6.

With 9:35 remaining in the game, David Revering broke loose for a 55 yard touchdown run, closing out the scoring and give Parkers a 26-6 lead.

Teagan Lausten ran for 90 yards on 25 carries and Roder had 49 yards on 9 attempts to lead the Eagles.

Noska completed 7-of-11 passes for 114 yards for the Panthers.  His top receivers were Debilzen (2 catches, 38 yards), Boesl (2 catches, 32 yards) and Ben Wagner (1 catch, 33 yards).  Boesl added 68 yards rushing to finish with an even 100 yards of offense, and Revering carried the ball 6 times for 60 yards.
