Four student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent for M State men’s basketball and golf on Thursday.  Aidan Johnson from Big Lake High School (6’6” Forward) will be playing both sports, while Hayden Knick of Fergus Falls (6’3” Guard), Michael Tol of Canby (6’2” Guard) and Levi Ulvin of Richland, North Dakota (6’6” Forward) will be playing basketball.

“We are extremely excited to have these four young men attending next fall to play basketball,” said Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dave Cresap.  “They have all had very good years at their respective high schools. We wish them the best of luck during their senior seasons and look forward to having them for two years at M State.”

“Aidan is a tremendous golfer and a high-quality young man,” noted M State Head Golf Coach Jason Retzlaff.  “After watching him play in the spring, I was very impressed with not only his talent but also his demeanor while competing.  Having Aidan sign early in the year is a wonderful start for our 2024-25 recruiting class. He is going to have a great senior season and we are excited he will be a Spartan on the course and on the court next year.”

The 2023-24 men’s basketball season opens on Saturday, November 11 at Mayville State JV.

The Spartan men’s golf team won the 2023 Region XIII National Qualifier and will compete at the NJCAA Division III National Championship in Chautauqua, New York in June of 2024.
