Several area cross country coaches have been recognized with Coach of the Year honors, including Jeff Morris and Brett Hanson of Perham.  Morris was named the section 8AA Boys’ Coach of the Year and Hanson the 8AA Boys’ Assistant Coach of the Year.  Travis Hochhalter of Alexandria won the 8AA Girls’ Coach of the Year award, while Nikki Paradis of the Cardinals was the Girls’ Assistant Coach of the Year.  In Section 6A, Kenny Miller of Bertha-Hewitt was named Boys’ Coach of the Year, and in 8A Nathan Stoa was selected as Girls’ Coach of the Year.  Edwin Heltunen of United North Central was the Assistant Coach of the Year in 8A.

The State Cross Country Meet will be held on Saturday at the Les Bolstad Golf Course on the U of M campus.
