The Fergus Falls Otters were on the road at St. Cloud Apolllo Tuesday night and they came home with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-18) win over the Eagles.  “After a slow start we were able to refocus and start putting the ball in play,” commented Head Coach Sabrina Noon.  “We cleaned up the errors on our side and started coming back and making it a game. Our serving was strong and our hitters had a nice night at the net, running plays and swinging hard.”

Grey Korinek (10 kills, 1 block) had a very strong first set with 5 kills out of 6 attempts.  “She was swinging hard from the outside and she was hard to defend,” reported Noon.  “Brynn Sternberg (8 kills, 3 digs, 3 aces) led our kills in the 2nd set with 5 kills out of 7 attempts.  She placed the ball over well and saw what was open on the other side of the court.  Rachel Debrito 7 kills, 1 block) was running a lot of different patterns and was able to create an open net for some good swings.  Karyssa Eberle (26 assists, 2 kills, 2 digs, 1 ace) set the ball well and took a few opportunities to score herself off of ball two. Our defensive players Megan Meech, Brook Zierden (4 digs, 1 block, 2 kills), Macee Butler (3 digs, 3 aces) and Hannah Johnson (1 dig) played the back row well and didn't let a lot of balls touch the floor.  It was a big win for the Otters and a good boost to start off our Blocktober Fest Tournament this Thursday.”
