The Underwood girls’ volleyball team went 2-2 in the KLN Invitational at Perham on Saturday, finishing tenth out of 16 teams. The Rockets opened play with a 2-0 (25-21, 25-20) loss to Thief River Falls, beat Barnesville 2-1 (25-17, 22-25, 15-10), won their match with Pierz 2-0 (25-11, 25-19) and then fell to Henning 2-1 (20-25, 28-26, 15-12) in the ninth place match.
Leaders on the day for Underwood were Brooklyn Christianson (37/38 serving, 1 ace, 18 kills, 10 assists, 29 digs), Kallyn Grove (35/36 serving, 2 aces, 75 assists, 44 digs, 24 kills), Ezrah Baker (38/40 serving, 4 aces, 25 digs, 26 kills), Katie Hess (30/33 serving, 3 aces, 22 digs), Liz Lukken (31/32 serving, 4 aces, 23 kills, 32 digs), Mily Albjerg (27/29 serving, 2 aces, 20 kills, 31 digs, 8 assists) and Sia Olson (18 digs, 6 assists).
