The Underwood volleyball team defeated Hancock 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-14) in a Little Eight Conference match on Friday night.  “The Rockets have been off since last Thursday so it was nice to be back in action in front of a full house for our homecoming match,” said Head Coach Breck Grove.  “Having over a week off in the middle of the season turned out to be very good for us.  We had some quality practices to work on a few things, had a few days off, and kid a little team bonding.”

Leading the Rockets were Mily Albjerg (6/6 serving, 1 ace, 8 kills, 9 digs, 2 blocks), Kallyn Grove (11/11 serving, 1 ace, 8 kills, 25 assists, 12 digs, 1 block), Sia Olson (10/10 serving, 1 ace, 8 digs), Liz Lukken (9/9 serving, 2 aces, 9 digs, 7 kills, 1 block), Ezrah Baker (5 kills, 2 blocks, 5 digs) and Brooklyn Christianson (5 kills, 3 blocks, 3 digs).

Underwood will head to Perham for a tournament on Saturday and will play their final two conference games on the road next week, Tuesday at Hillcrest and at Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Thursday.

Hancock stats will be added to this article when they are received.
